This summer, we unveiled the latest addition to our boiler lineup: the new ecoTEC plus.

Hand-built in our award-winning manufacturing plant in Belper, Derbyshire, it’s the same boiler installers know and love, remastered to suit the performance, efficiency and connectivity demands of today and the future.

We know that the original ecoTEC plus is a firm favourite with installers – so why change it?

One reason is feedback from our valued installation partners, who told us what they liked about the original and what could be improved. With this in mind, we’ve updated the existing product without losing the familiarity that has made it so popular over the past decade.

So, what’s different? Here are five ways we’ve revamped the ecoTEC plus…

Taking on board installer feedback, we’ve restyled the ecoTEC plus to bring it up to date.

The internal layout has been refined to make it even easier to access all the components from the front of the boiler, so installation and servicing become effortless.

On the outside, the new ecoTEC plus has a sleek contemporary design that retains the famous Vaillant curve. And the new semi-touch interface puts guided commissioning, setup wizard and easy-to-follow navigation at your fingertips.

An eye on the future

We know that the heating industry is going through massive changes, with a low carbon future on the horizon. So, when it comes to fuels, the new ecoTEC plus is designed with flexibility in mind.

At the heart of the ecoTEC plus is the IoniDetect system. This innovative technology constantly monitors the gas type and quality, adapting the appliance’s performance to ensure that combustion is always at its most efficient – whether it’s using natural gas, LPG or even a hydrogen blend.

Most models are also LPG-compatible straight out of the box: simply set up in minutes using the new intuitive interface, with no need for a conversion kit. And, looking to the future, the new ecoTEC plus is hydrogen-prepared up to 20%.

All this means that, rather than installing a short-term solution, you can provide your customers with a reliable, future-proofed heating system.

The ecoTEC plus’s performance is optimised by the latest technology across the board, providing peace of mind for you and the homeowner.

With the innovative Limp Home function, the ecoTEC plus will try to correct itself 10 times if it detects certain faults. If it can’t, it will run at 60% output and display an alert message, meaning the homeowner isn’t left without hot water or heating, and you won’t be called out unnecessarily.

And with LinBUS, the ecoTEC plus collects detailed data about the performance of its key components, assisting you with commissioning, maintenance and diagnosis of any issues.

When paired with our brand new internet gateway, myVAILLANT connect, the smart home ready ecoTEC plus boiler range takes connectivity to a whole new level.

myVAILLANT connect intuitively integrates with smart home platforms such as Apple HomeKit and Amazon Alexa, so homeowners can control their heating remotely using voice commands or the myVAILLANT app on their mobile device.

Plus, by activating their free* myVAILLANT connect smart home subscription, homeowners can now benefit from performance stats and updates, along with useful tips and energy management solutions so they can make the most of their heating system.

And with the installer-focused myVAILLANT Pro app, you can monitor your customers’ boilers wherever you are, so you can diagnose problems remotely and offer an even better care and support service.
