Ben was first introduced to Vaillant back in 2020, and he hasn’t looked back since. After completing his apprenticeship and accreditation, he started his own business.

“Once I got qualified, gas safe, I tried a few different boilers. And then eventually I fit a customer with a Vaillant. Within a day, I signed up to Vaillant Advance.”

It wasn’t just the quality of the boiler that impressed him, but the support he received from his Area Sales Manager.

“My ASM messaged me the next morning to check if I needed any help, any support with anything.”

After a positive experience over a few short months, Ben decided to make the swap to Vaillant for all of his installs.

“The support is the biggest thing for us. I think just knowing that you’ve got the backup behind you when you’re not sure on something or something’s new or you haven’t done it before, that there is someone there to actually help you.”

It’s the support that really helped Ben manage the stresses of growing his business.

“Running a business is extremely stressful. I would say I had sleepless nights at the start. So knowing I can call and get the answers and someone will help me pretty fast definitely reduces that stress level. It makes my life a hell of a lot easier. I definitely sleep fine every night now.”

Since then, Ben’s business has gone from strength to strength, growing from just him and his apprentice to a full team of installers.

“I definitely wouldn’t have taken on the jobs we’re doing now and have coming up, if I didn’t have the support in the background that I know I can get. I wouldn’t have really had the confidence to take on a huge plant room or an air source heat pump.”

And with the training Ben’s been able to enjoy through Vaillant, he’s growing his business even further, opening up new markets with the help of his Area Sales Manager.

“We’re trying to move into the renewables industry much more. We’re working with Vaillant at the minute through their Aspire programme to become MCS registered. I would hope by next year we would employ another two to three installers for heat pumps.”

And being able to grow his business with Vaillant’s support has meant that Ben’s been able to start planning for the future, and has the time to start thinking about his life outside of the business.

“I have a team now. It means I don’t need to be on the tools all the time, earning money. A lot’s changed thinking about it. We’ve brought our first house and are renovating that.

“Hopefully I can just do the design sign off, and then the installers can take my place in actually doing the fitting.

“So definitely by growing the business, I can free myself up to be available to do other things if needed. Especially the renovation of the house.”
