For the last 15 years, Gary and his team have put their trust in Vaillant.
“I became a heating engineer late in life. I ended up doing a qualification, and a friend of mine owned Chamings. And then, you know, three days a week, went to five days a week and then I ended up working here.”
It was there that Gary was first introduced to Vaillant.
“The first boiler I ever fit was a Vaillant. I knew how reliable they were. They’re a good bit of kit. They’re easy to work on. I remember it was an ecoTEC plus 832. I know exactly where it is and who’s got it and its still there today.”
Gary started out as an installer, but within five years he’d taken over the company and taken charge of growing the business.
“It was only a few of us when I first started. Now we’re a team of eleven.”
With a successful partnership already years in the making, Gary knew that he could still reply on Vaillant’s product line to continue the success of the business.
“It’s the engineering. Inside the boiler is the key. It gives me confidence when I’m out selling it, that I know the boiler will last. If there’s a problem, we know we can get it sorted and the customers come back year on year to get it serviced.”
Vaillant’s products have helped Gary grow his business. But the technical and engineering support have also been a constant over the last 15 years.
“I think we’ve always been brand loyal, so I always look at it as a partnership. We’ve always wanted to stick with the people who support us, so we can build our business and help fit the boilers. It’s just having the person at the end of the phone who can help you.”
“As a business owner, it keeps the confidence in the product and it means if you don’t know something, there is somebody behind you that says, actually, this is the best option.”
Gary’s confidence in Vaillant has grown so much over the years that he’s been happy to make it part of his brand.
“Our vans now have Vaillant products all over their rear doors and getting that support from the marketing team was really good.”
Now he’s looking to Vaillant, and their industry leading training, to help him with the next stage of the business.
“We’re in the process of just starting the air source heat pump journey with Vaillant because that’s going to be our next core product line. Vaillant has helped us increase our sales year on year, but it’s that journey going forward, so that will be the next milestone for us.”
Gary has trusted Vaillant with much more than just his sales. Owning his own business and being his own boss, has been a life-changing asset for his entire family. An asset that he’s trusted Vaillant’s reputation and service to keep protected over the years.
“I love what I do. I love providing a good service for everybody. But building the business has really meant I’ve been able to help my children over the years.
I think all my kids have worked for us at some point. Actually, you could say that two of my kids have done most their university work in my office.
Because, the business is an extension, I suppose, of home life, isn’t it?”
