Built in 1980, Castleman Court is a sheltered housing development comprising a range of 61 flats in studio, one bedroom and two bedroom configurations with mobility standards. The development was in need of new boilers to facilitate more efficient heating and hot water for the residents.
Synergy Housing selected Vaillant as the preferred supplier to replace six ageing Ideal Concord atmospheric gas boilers in order to bring the properties up to modern standards of performance and comfort. Utilising Vaillant’s expertise and commitment to supporting the design process, Synergy Housing worked closely with the team to identify a range of options.
Seven ecoTEC plus 65kW wall-hung condensing boilers were installed, incorporating all the same high performance and efficiency features as its smaller domestic counterparts, together with a VRC 630 boiler management system. The VRC 630 weather compensating control provides time programmes that enable simple control of complex systems, with up to eight room / zone controls for ease of use so proved to be a valuable addition.
