Vaillant receives double shortlist nomination for the 2022 H&V News Awards!
Following on from nominations at this year’s ACR awards, Vaillant has been shortlisted in two categories at the 2022 H&V News Awards. Receiving shortlist nominations for the Net Zero Impact award and Heat Pump Project of the Year, Vaillant is delighted to be nominated in two categories which are so deeply rooted in the heating industry at present.
After the roaring success of the aroTHERM plus launch in 2020, the product has been in high demand, thanks to its excellent efficiency and environmental credentials including a GWP of just 3. Impressed by these key features, modular housebuilder, TopHat utilised the aroTHERM plus to help create a low carbon solution for their new build development in Houlton of 38 houses. The project, where the homes were partially constructed offsite, has been nominated for Heat Pump Project of the Year.
The second nomination is for the Net Zero Impact Award. Launched in 2021, Vaillant’s partnership with Tiny Forests aim to help mitigate climate change and bring hundreds of plants and animals back to local areas by creating tennis court sized green spaces to capture carbon emissions. In October, Vaillant planted it’s first Tiny Forest in Glasgow Green as part of COP 26.
Steve Cipriano, Commercial Director at Vaillant comments, “Low carbon technologies and ways to mitigate climate change are paramount in the race towards net zero. TopHat is a shining example of a business which is not only looking at the ways it can reduce emissions through its products, but is also playing a significant part in reducing emissions from the construction process too, via its modular approach to building.
“Our Tiny Forest Partnership allows Vaillant to make a tangible change to built-up urban areas where green spaces are often limited that will benefit both those who live in the city as well as having an impact on the surrounding environment.
“We’re proud to have been shortlisted for both awards, and look forward to celebrating the success of these projects at the Awards in November!”
