Vaillant Keeps It Clean
Vaillant Group is delighted to have played a significant part in keeping the country’s frontline key workers fit and well for work by ensuring they have the heating and hot water that is essential in the fight against the COVID-19.
Vaillant is acutely aware that the supply of hot water is incredibly important for everyone during this time, but especially for staff in the NHS. They therefore took the decision to keep as many engineers as possible working throughout the lockdown phase of the pandemic to ensure medical staff could access free emergency repairs for their boilers.
The scheme has been a roaring success and Vaillant Service has been very busy. Over 700 NHS employees have had their boilers repaired free of charge so they can return to hospitals clean, warm, and ready to help us on the frontline against COVID-19.
Vaillant has supported the NHS in other ways, too. At the beginning of the outbreak, Vaillant Industrial donated its supply of PPE to Doncaster Infirmary.
Nick Bennett, Director, Vaillant Service said, “It’s vital that everyone plays their part to protect ourselves and each other from this awful virus. Good hygiene is incredibly important, especially for our NHS heroes. Offering free emergency repairs to NHS workers is our way of playing our part in keeping these key workers fit and well for their duties. We’ve funded repairs for over 700 people at a cost of over £200,000 to our business, something we are immensely proud of being able to contribute to such a worthy cause.
“We can’t thank our NHS key workers enough for their hard work during this time. We’re keen to continue assisting the NHS by offering their workers a reduction of 25% on fixed price repairs throughout August. This is our ongoing contribution to provide a significant saving which will help NHS staff prepare for the start of heating season.”
