Vaillant Donates to Rhubarb Farm
Vaillant Group UK has made a cash donation to a local horticultural-based environmental social enterprise based in Langwith in the East Midlands.
Rhubarb Farm uses the various aspects of its farm to provide experience and the therapeutic aspects of horticulture to support people with various needs. The people it supports come from a wide range of backgrounds, such as ex-offenders and older isolated people. The various aspects of running the farm help people develop the skills they need to improve their lives. The farm keeps pigs and poultry, but is mainly in the business of organic horticulture, for example, producing vegetable boxes. There is a shop and café on the site and the farm hosts educational visits for schools, so volunteers are able to choose from a variety of projects they can get involved with.
Steve Cipriano, Sales Director, Specification, at Vaillant UK said, “It’s very impressive to see the work that Rhubarb Farm is doing to rehabilitate and educate the people it helps. We heard about Rhubarb Farm through Efficiency East Midlands (EEM). It was easy to see what a great cause this is and Vaillant was very happy to give a cash donation towards the fund for a new minibus.”
