Vaillant Collects Supplier Community Initiative of the Year Award at AGSM Awards 2018

Vaillant UK is delighted to have received the Supplier Community Initiative Award at the AGSM Awards 2018 for its project supporting the Lyndale Knowsley Cancer Support Centre in Liverpool.

The Award recognises the valuable partnership between Vaillant and National Energy Action (NEA), who collaborated with Knowlsey Council to provide an efficient new heating system at the Macmillan centre that supports cancer patients referred from hospitals across the Merseyside and Cheshire regions. As Lynedale’s funds are dedicated to supporting people with cancer they needed help to get a heating solution installed so the centre could offer a warm, comfortable environment for the people it supports in very difficult times of their lives.

Vaillant was keen to demonstrate its company values (as part of its SEEDS programme) and worked quickly with Huyton Plumbing and Heating Ltd., Fernox and Northern Gas Heating to provide and install a full heating system and accessories free of charge.

Wynne Pickup, Manager at the Lyndale Centre commented, “We cannot thank everybody enough for helping us with our heating. All our funds go into the services we provide to patients and their families and carers who have been diagnosed with cancer, so our boiler issue was literally on the ‘back burner’. We always give people a warm welcome to our centre, but now it can be even warmer! I am truly grateful for the support given to us by the Council and its partners. Thank you.”
